Equal Opportunities

Promoting equal opportunities is important to Care Academy and we work hard to ensure that none of our learners are discriminated based on their race, sex (including sexual orientation, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity), age or disability. This is to comply with the Discrimination (Jersey) Law 2013. At Care Academy, we expect our platform to be provided in a way which does not disadvantage any learner based on any protected characteristic under Jersey law.

We work hard to ensure that the assessments used by Care Academy promote equal opportunities. We therefore work closely with all of our awarding and accrediting bodies to ensure equal opportunities for our assessments.

We have installed the UserWay widget on our platform, so as to give learners more accessibility options, if required. To read more about accessibility, click here to read our Accessibility Statement.

Information Collection
On occasion, we might collect data about equality and diversity. This is so we can improve our service and gain feedback from our learners. Any information collected will be anonymous and in line with Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018. See our Data Protection Policy for further information.
